Mr. Bass

One day Kalle's friend (a bass player) called and said that he has a gig booked for his band (in Estonia), but he appears to be on a vacation with his family at the same time (in Denmark). Kalle hasn't played bass for a long time, but he wanted to help them out.

Tanel Padar and The Sun is a rock band, but this time they had a special thing planned with an orchestra and everything :) All the songs (14-15 all together) were new to Kalle and he only got to go to 1 rehearsal. Yay! So he was pretty nervous on stage. But I think he did really well!

Family

On Midsummer's Day we had a traditional (we usually do it over 5 years or so) reunion with the relatives (from my fathers side of the family). If I remember correctly 116 people were at this party! Most of them were from Estonia of course, but there was also a big nice family from Australia. And they had their 90 year old poppy with them! 1981

Found this old (but brand new!) coffe maker from my parents house. It reminds me the teachers room from my old school. My dad was a teacher there (he still is) and my mom was a secretary (that included making the coffee, of course). I was maybe 4-5 years old, just hanging around there (I didn't go to kindergarten). I remember 2 kettles like this being constantly on and the smell of fresh coffe was all over the place. I couldn't wait to grow up to get to drink this stuff that smelled so-so sophisticated :)

Morbid Morning

Yesterday Noora found a dead bird from the garden. She buried it and decorated the grave. I think it's just beautiful!

Then she had some breakfast and found a skull in her sandwich. She was really happy about the find :)
